Moments sha'red

Moments shared, through lettered thoughts
Once voiced in 'mobile' tunes
Climaxing in a knotting of hearts
And consumated 'unfaced' on wall-less book
Are yesterday's pains but today's gains.

For our ever present 'tweets'
Walled on hearts so sweet
However fleeting, are the seeded remains
Of what was, what is and what will be.

Light out

Light out...
Dawn like a faulty clock stuck to dusk
As darkness awoke slumber -
Pillowed by nightmarish mares.
We can no longer tell the difference.

Friendly pests, raised a lullaby
Mused by blood-spattered pain;
They joy in glutton's delight,
Until restless hands put them to sleep.

Yet, the music streamed on.

Light on...
Sight once sane in the shadows,
Now blurred in daylight's fury.
Day becomes a kind of night
And night, a kind of day,
We can no longer tell the difference.

And as truth begins to sprout
Light out.

Breaking free

Like a tired branch from an old tree,
I break free.
Drifting unfettered amidst wishful wishes
Plunging headlong, awaiting a crash…
Maybe, he’ll catch me before I reach the ground.

‘If I perish, I perish’
But from me, I must escape.
No more to walk that dusty lane
For I seek a fresh start in you.
As I course through life
plunging like a waterfall
Let me, in your fatherly hands fall.

The Gift

Navigating love’s thoughtless paths,
like the palace fool over again;
searching secret sanctuaries of sacred hearts,
but getting less than I bagain’d.

I have stumbled on different breeds
of mortals who spew venom,
desecrating love’s sacred creeds,
for such is their norm.

Now the traveler is back,
and my travailed heart sings
for a love returned in flapping wings,
but my heart to hack!

The fragile arm of a waiting lad,
outstretched with hope for a return gift;
a sinking heart to give a lift,
but you chose to make him sad

You are back...
with treasures on my feet lain;
wrapped in a lurid gift of pain
my heart to crack!

Night Rain

On my roof, pelting drops of rain,
dancing rhythmically at nature's ancient beat,
cascading down voluptuous frame
like strings of beads
once suspended by a chord- now broken!

The lone night sing along in pelting silence
as nature's tune resonates pestering drips,
clogging man's lawful sail through fantasy land

For if nature's drips, man's barn to swell
why does it halt man's drifting drowsiness?

"Dedicated to my niece Rhianna and every new born baby in the world

Kindled flame began as a tender glow
Yoked in mother's uterus, God made it so
Artemis mystery revealed after labour's cramp
Laden-ed belly breaks forth like a rushing tap
Innocent Rhianna is born; heaven's praise to show

Words like field of mines
Explode in several bits on fertile minds
Leaving the heart foggy,

…Rippling thoughts,

Quaking convictions,

Questioning conventions,

Finding answers…

The haze is cleared!
And what stares our face?
A world of meaning created by words!
